Wealdstone FC choose Behind Every Kick as their official 2019/20 season charity partner

We are delighted to be the official charity partner of Wealdstone FC for the 2019/20 season.

The partnership further cements our burgeoning relationship with the National League South club. Over the past two seasons, Wealdstone FC youth players have participated in the Behind Every Kick programme helping them to thrive on the pitch and flourish away from it. Wealdstone FC has built an outstanding reputation for their community projects and share our values of engaging and developing young people through sport.

Wealdstone FC Club President, Paul Rumens, said of the new partnership: "The club is thrilled and delighted to introduce Behind Every Kick as this season's charity partner. Everyone connected with the club is very supportive of the charity."

Behind Every Kick founder, David Pollock said: “The partnership with Wealdstone FC is incredibly exciting and will help even more people find out about the fantastic work our trainers and mentors do with youngsters across London.”

Literally kicking off the new partnership, Wealdstone FC Manager Dean Brennan took three outrageous penalties in the BEK Hit or Miss challenge to launch our participation in the Big Give’s 2019 Christmas campaign. Read more about BEK and the Big Give here.

The undoubted star performer, however, was Wealdstone super-fan Gordon Hill, better known as the Wealdstone Raider. The Raider definitely "wanted some" of the Hit or Miss challenge. Donning a pair of goalkeeper gloves, he faced up to penalties from the Wealdstone first-team. The Raider even took time out to impart some advice from the Behind Every Kick programme about dealing with pressure to star winger Dennon Lewis as he stepped up to the spot. It certainly seemed to help Dennon who scored a beauty. Watch Dennon take on The Raider here.

We want to wish Wealdstone FC every success in the 2019/20 season. Come on you Stones.
