We create opportunities for our young people to apply and build upon the skills they have developed with us. This is achieved by connecting our graduates with inspirational people working in professions or organisations that appeal to them and by providing further training tailored to their specific needs. We ensure there is an open dialogue with our young people so that any training needs they identify for themselves are incorporated into our offering. Our aim is to spark their curiosity and encourage them to explore.
An opportunity for graduates to enhance their skills with our trainers, who will explore the BEK Development topics in further depth.
Using our network of partners we will invite highly successful people from leading organisations to host workshops where our graduates can enhance their skills, be inspired and just as importantly ask questions.
Practical workshops designed to help our graduates transition into adult life. Be it help opening a bank account, setting up utilities or registering to vote.
As BEK graduates begin to consider what their next steps after school might be - further education or starting their career - our mentors can help support them by sharing their specific and relatable experiences.
Our partner organisations offer graduates an insight into working life in a particular sector as well as hands on experience. This can take the form of Q&A sessions, job shadowing, work experience and paid internships. There will also be opportunities for graduates to gain feedback on their strengths and areas for development through mock job interviews and appraisal sessions.
A chance for our young people to be introduced physically or virtually to people in your organisation in order to be able to ask them about roles and professions about which they are curious to learn more.
